The coaching staff combines professional playing and coaching experience with a modern development approach. Training is detail-oriented and individualized, using consistent evaluation and feedback to help players improve efficiently. Staff members focus on long-term development, emphasizing fundamentals, repeatable mechanics, mental preparation, and game awareness. The mission is to help every player reach the next level that fits them best.
Directors
Jim Osting
Former professional pitcher with 12 years of pro baseball experience and MLB time. Founded OBA in 2008 and has 20+ years coaching baseball, emphasizing a team-first culture, fundamentals, and long-term player development.
Patrick Ryan
Former college player and pro (drafted by the Brewers). Played multiple seasons in affiliated baseball and later transitioned into full-time instruction, working lessons, camps, and showcase support.
Mike Heath
Former MLB player with a long major league career and extensive catching experience (1000+ games caught). Known for defensive expertise and broad on-field knowledge.
